Thx, I didn't paint the hubs cause its kinda pointless. Besides, there is a bearing in there and I didn't want to paint the bearing... Can't come up with a better reason, sorry. hahah

After a month or so on jack stands the EG is finally back on the ground. I finished the right side rear brake assembly today and carefully brought the car down... I also got a chance to take apart my OEM trunk lid and remove the components I will need for my new trunk. Here are some pics.
Shes on the ground!

Andy's ***... haha

The stock trunk lid before I disassembled it.

The back of the new trunk lid.

I didnt think the CF trunk lid would be much lighter than the OEM trunk lid but it is a noticable difference when I compared the two. Weight savings FTW!!!
I'm going to finish swapping everything over tomorrow, after I clean all the old components...
and the car as she sits now!

Good Night!

Todays Goal: I wanted to get my CF trunk ready for install so I had to swap over a bunch of stuff from the OEM trunk lid. THe goal was to get the trunk lid ready for install, the install will be another day because I have some small things to take care of before it goes on...
I decided to do the hardware and parts swap inside the house cause the garage floor would probably scratch the crap out of the CF lid. It was much easier to take care of on a carpet floor. Here are some pics...
Installing the trunk latch system while watching R. Lee Ermey's Lock n Loaded, Hoo Rah! haha

DNR getting zoned out by the Unmanned Helicopter..

Yes, I had to do some drilling and hole enlarging, pretty disappointing...

After a bunch of modification, the end result was pretty upsetting...

I didnt even wanna take any pics of it. One taillight is perfect, no gaps or alignment issues but the other side has a huge gap and just looks horrible... I am taking the trunk back to WeakSos on Monday cause Seibon has a fitment guarantee so hopefully we get this taken care of... Hella lame! What a waste of a Saturday afternoon...

It's been a little while since my last update so here goes:
I took a few more shots of my carbon trunk with everything installed and it sucks because it turned out that it is a little tweaked, the tailight fitment is horrible.
Driver Side
:

The weave looks like it kinda sank on the driver side...

Passenger Side
:

anyway, I got some electrical stuff done and out of the way courtesy of a good friend of mine, Ryan from RyWire.com.

Mocking everything up inside the car to find out lengths.

Harness modified at the "SHOP." Brand new pins and relocated to fit for the new engine harness I am going to make...

Pinout for the blue plug...

Chassis harness cut and repinned to the correct lengths.

Connector added for Headlight harness.

Some new stuff that came in on August 31st, Wilwood Brake Master Cylinder and Clutch Master Cylinder.

Herra Crean Cuhh!!!

Finally finished up the chassis harness and got it all taped up ready for install. Thanks for the help with the taping Goompa!

Installed:

Fuse box relocated.

Everything buttoned up...

That's it for now folks. I am getting the car ready for round 2 at the body shop; touch ups on some engine bay areas and in the trunk area. Then the full rebuild continues, again... haha

SO sad but the car went back to the bodyshop for a few touchups... They missed a few small spots so I wanted to get it all fixed and taken care of before I put the car back together too much...
Here are a few pix:

Hopefully I get her back sooner than later...

This is a two in one update, I didnt wanna make two small updates so I combined them.
I'm very excited because the project is finally going to get in motion! I got a few goodies from LA thanks to my buddy Ryan from Rywire.com! He is also going to help me do some stuff to the car this weekend. Anyway, here are pics!
The V.C. got some shaving work done to it and I got it back on the 10th. I eliminated all the PCV system and made it only go to my catch can... also had some other little things shaved from the V.C.

I also got my fittings for the brake lines! This is kinda what everything will be setup like in the car, minus the wooden table. haha

Today I got the EG back from the shop. They had to do a lot of touch ups in the engine bay, due to over spray and general oversights.
Engine bay looks much better than it used to!

Paint looks almost wet still, haha

The inside of the car got another shot too, they left it looking really light in the trunk area before so I had them hit it up as well...

That's it for now folks, I am going to start getting the car back together majorly on Saturday.
Let me know what you guys think.

I'm posting this a little late but better late than never right? RyWire came through yesterday to help with my brake lines and to get the car back together. Ryan was only at my house for a few hours but I think we got a good amount of work done, let me know what you guys think.
P.S. Sorry for the camera phone pix, I can't find my digital camera for some reason.
Brake master mounted and the clutch master plate mounted.

Ryan bending lines...

Rear lines done:

Hoo Hoo Haa haa, LOL
:

Front passenger side Brake line setup done!

My carpet was very oily and just plain dirty so I sprayed it with some carpet cleaner and my buddy Loreto hit it up with the pressure washer...

After all that, I got the electrical installed on the passenger side. After that, I installed the fender line. (I'm sure you are asking why I put in a fender liner, the answser is it keeps all the debris from the burnout box on the liner and not in my engine bay or wheel wells...)

Crappy pix of the visors installed, the headliner doesn't sag anymore!!!!

Getting ready for some new stickers, these don't go with my theme so well...

Clean!

Finally got to install the hood thats been sitting around my garage. Not bad eh?

Well that's it folks. I am going to take a couple more pix today and do a little bit more work, I'll post an update later today.
