Icon2 Bose Stereo Question

Is it possible to hook up an amp and subs to the stock Bose deck in an 04 RSX? If so, how do I pull the deck out of the dash?

Thanks, Ryan.

Yes. You will most likely need a line out converter if that hu doesn't have RCA outs.

Yes it is. You will need whats called a Line out line out converter (LOC). You can get them at best buy. It ties into two of your speakers or your factory sub. Look up wire colors at the12volt.com. Hopefully they have them for bose. With the radio removal, I am really not sure. Take a pic of the dash and post it if you can and do a little research on it. You may not have to remove it if you can access the factory amp and just find your wires there. You will also have to find an ignition wire for your remote turn on wire.

no reason to pull factory deck. The amp is under the passenger seat and there is a remote turn on wire there it is the brown wire. You can use an LOC or your amp may have high level inputs depending on the amp. Last is be sure to use the factory amps outputs not the inputs. If you need wire colors I have access to pretty much all makes and models. Let me know.

dont the rsx bose systems have the factory sub/amp in the spare tire? if so you probably need to catch signal between the sub amp and the sub.

not sure it's been a while since I have worked on an RSX but yes catch it at the sub output. I imagine it should still be the same remote turn on color. Good call

I'm not a stereo guy at all lol. The RSX does have a stock Bose 6" sub in the spare tire. So all I need is a Line Out Converter? I have no idea how to pull the deck, I'll post a picture and do some research on it.

no need to pull deck. you can catch everything at the factory amp excluding the power wire to the battery and the ground
