2000 Acura Integra GS-R Values Discussed in the Forums

Acura Integra GS-R is in amazing condition and the community expects it to fetch at least $6,000.

An Acura Integra GS-R from the 2000 model year is one of the more sought-after Japanese performance cars from that era, but with these sleek hatchbacks pushing 20 years old, it can be hard to find one in nice shape. A Honda Tech forum member named “pendriss” recently joined the forum in an effort to get pricing information for a family member who is selling a 2000 GS-R that is in remarkable condition, even though it is located in Pennsylvania, where many cars from the early 2000s rotted away in the road salt.

While the pictures shared in the thread don’t seem to do this 2000 Integra any justice, this car appears to be in near-perfect condition, leading other members to expect a price of $6,000 to $10,000 with the right buyer.

Integra GS-R Introduction

When the OP first asked for pricing information for a family member’s 2000 Integra GS-R, he provided the following information.

I am helping a family member sell his 2000 GS-R Integra. It has like 71K miles and was stored in his garage for like past 3 years. I had it towed to the local Acura dealer where they are going over the car right now to do fluids, timing belt, etc and I hope to sell the car in the next few weeks when it is all ready. The car is in southeastern PA and I am trying to figure out a fair price to ask for the car…. it looks like new and is completely original except for some upgraded speakers and an alarm system. I have tried to search online but it is rare to see these cars listed for sale anymore.

What do you think a car in this condition would sell for?

He did not, however, including any images, but after someone asked for pictures, the images shown here were shared in the thread. As you can see, the leather, carpeting and the rest of the interior looks like it is new and the exterior is spotless, including the bright polished wheels.

Although the pictures are pretty lackluster, they were enough to allow the community to provide some pricing guidelines.

Pricing and Where to Sell

Once the pictures were posted, “maxwellmercer” was the first person to reply, suggesting that it would be best to sell this Integra on Bring-A-Trailer, where users would bid on the right to bring it home.

Bring a trailer looks to be a good option for this one, seems like it’s very well kept!

The first person to actually offer a value was “NoKz”.

Very Clean! That would go for about $6K in California.

While “TheShodan” agreed with using Bring-A-Trailer while offering a more elaborate price range.

Yeah,I wouldn’t sell to any dealership. Bring a Trailer.com is your best bet… $6k-10k easy.

After that, several other members recommended Bring-A-Trailer while reinforcing the range of $6,000 to $10,000, but at first, the OP wanted to try selling locally. That is, until TheShodan provided this key input.

Don’t sell local first. You’re wasting your time. You’ll get nothing but people low balling you and attempting to steal it, once they know where you lived or have it out. Unfortunately, these cars are still among the top ones stolen.

That prompted the OP to agree to Bring-A-Trailer, along with sharing more information on the progress of preparation for the sale.

Ok thanks / I’ll list it on BAT I think – it had timing belt service with water pump done yesterday and has full service history in a folder — was garaged all its life and is a really babied all OEM example – hopefully I can get the higher end of the prices you guys have suggested – if I do list it I’ll share the URL here.

So far, we cannot find record of this 2000 Acura Integra GS-R being listed on Bring-A-Trailer, but if you want to keep tabs on this sale, click here to visit the original thread in the forum.

"Before I was old enough to walk, my dad was taking me to various types of racing events, from local drag racing to the Daytona 500," says Patrick Rall, a lifetime automotive expert, diehard Dodge fan, and respected auto journalist for over 10 years. "He owned a repair shop and had a variety of performance cars when I was young, but by the time I was 16, he was ready to build me my first drag car – a 1983 Dodge Mirada that ran low 12s. I spent 10 years traveling around the country, racing with my dad by my side. While we live in different areas of the country, my dad still drag races at 80 years old in the car that he built when I was 16 while I race other vehicles, including my 2017 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and my 1972 Dodge Demon 340.

"Although I went to college for accounting, my time in my dad’s shop growing up allowed me the knowledge to spend time working as a mechanic before getting my accounting degree, at which point I worked in the office of a dealership group. While I was working in the accounting world, I continued racing and taking pictures of cars at the track. Over time, I began showing off those pictures online and that led to my writing.

"Ten years ago, I left the accounting world to become a full-time automotive writer and I am living proof that if you love what you do, you will never “work” a day in your life," adds Rall, who has clocked in time as an auto mechanic, longtime drag racer and now automotive journalist who contributes to nearly a dozen popular auto websites dedicated to fellow enthusiasts.

"I love covering the automotive industry and everything involved with the job. I was fortunate to turn my love of the automotive world into a hobby that led to an exciting career, with my past of working as a mechanic and as an accountant in the automotive world provides me with a unique perspective of the industry.

"My experience drag racing for more than 20 years coupled with a newfound interest in road racing over the past decade allows me to push performance cars to their limit, while my role as a horse stable manager gives me vast experience towing and hauling with all of the newest trucks on the market today.

"Being based on Detroit," says Rall, "I never miss the North American International Auto Show, the Woodward Dream Cruise and Roadkill Nights, along with spending plenty of time raising hell on Detroit's Woodward Avenue with the best muscle car crowd in the world.
