just another 10 sec all motor b series (A.L.R.)
i dont post on here much but just want to share the progress ive made on my shop car in the last couple weeks, hondaday englishtown being the first time running the car.Fastest its gone is 10.8 @ 125 and is only going to get faster since my tranny is holding me back. The car is powered by a full tbmotorworx spec gsr (pistons, rods, head, and cams). fully assembled by myself and tuned by steve delacruz from delacruz motorsports. This car is set up for 10.5 index racing and all motor pro for ifo whith have no wheight limitations but the car is only 90lbs lighter than the wheight needed to run the k-tuned class so its really not that light.
before anything i want to thank tbmotorworxs for the great parts, service, and support throughtout this process.TB and Lavelle are great people.also want to thank steve delacruz a.k.a stickerguy for the great tune and support.without them this wouldnt be possible
build specs
golden eagle sleeved gsr block
bc 95mm crank
tb spec crower rods
tb spec 86.5mm wiseco pistons
arp studs everywhere
tb spec 300+ cfm b16 head
tb3 3 lobe cams
hytech headers
skunk2 ultra 90mm tb/intake mani/fuel rail
on s300
this pass was yesterday babying it into second and fourth gear
as of now im more than happy with the results but we still have a few things we want to test on the dyno like fuel and plenum spacers but the way it sits its not over 300hp yet.even though alot of people think different. thats all for now ill update the post as things happen
quick update 9/5/13
made a few changes on the car. added a plenum spacer to increase the size to 5.5l and tuning on the new gas on saturday.... also trying a b16 second gear to try and get a little more mph in the 1/8th
hopefully everything goes as planned and i imake it to import wars on sunday
update 9/7/2013
tuned yesterday and had good results with the 5.5l plenum. the car gained 10hp with the plenum before even changing gas. gained some with the m5 as well but didnt have enough time with it to feel like it was worth the gains so im sticking to m1 for now.ill retune on the m5 soon when we have more time to try different things. As of now the car is over 300whp on the m1. tomorrow is import wars so ill get some track time and hopefully the trans cooperates with me and lets me bang some gears this time around. ill be back tomo with some time slips and hopefully a good video.
heres a link to a dyno vid on my facebook

update 9/12/2013
went to the track sunday and went 10.9 @ 126 off the trailer spinning the tires in first and second gear.every pass after that i had tranny issues again but the power is definately there. tranny is back out and gears are out for faceplating.hopefully i get my gears back before i.f.o in october.
side by side of sundays 10.9 vs my 10.8 from last week
11.0 pass later on in the day
update 10/11/2013
so im finally back up and running.i got my gears back from liberty in 3 weeks time whitch was a great turn around time. got everything together and got to go to the track.the track conditions werent great but i still managed to beat my own personal best time. the only way to explain faceplating is "unbelievable". shifting is so smooth and on point its not even funny,im glad i went with this upgrade.i dont have any video just yet but ill update once i go to ifo on sunday whitch should hopefully make for better times since its during the day.
these are my time slips
update 10/14/2013
went to ifo yesterday and had great results, finished in second place in all motor pro and beat my personal best with a back to back 10.4 pass and also broke my 60ft record with a 1.41. very happy with the results and know theres more in her.cant wait to get back out before the season is over.
nice little video my friend put together for me from ifo
update 10/30/2013
this will be the last update for me considering the season is pretty much over and i wont be able to make it to any other events this year. i made it to the track sunday for the masstuning track meet but had problems with the car.as i went in the lanes for qualifying i noticed my alternator **** the bed.i went to every parts store near the track and nobody had one.as i was ready to throw in the towel i got some good news from my tuner saying he was on the way with one. by the time everything installed and ready it was already really cold and late in the day. because of this my 60ft time suffered and i wasnt able to beat my personal best time.im still happy with the results with a 1.6 60ft i was still able to run 10.4 mainly because i finally revved the car up to 10k in third gear whitch gained me 2 mph on the 1/8th and up top. it was an accomplishment for me considering i trapped 130.57 mph so i know if i had got my 1.4 60ft i would have easily ran a 10.20. now that the seasons over its back to the drawing boards for me,im considering building another block but not 100% sure yet.id also like todo a few things i never had the chance todo this season like corner balancing and getting better front suspension. well see how it goes ill start another thread when i start working on it,for now im just going to take a break from the car and focus on the shop.
heres a vid from sunday of my 1 and only pass, i would have gone again but it was a long day and i was very sick so i just left after this pass
my slip from that pass
dope engine bay shot
and the one thing alot of people have been dying to know lol my dyno sheets.these were after adding the plenum spacer to the ultra manifold.the lower number on the graph is m1 vs the higher one being m5
last update i have, just have another vid of my last pass from another angle. the motor is apart and a few parts are for sale. i sold the headers and cams already and looking for a buyer on the block. if nobody buys it i will use that to build my new block for next season, other then that not much has changed im just patiently waiting for the winter to pass even though it hasnt really started lol. thank you to the people who have followed my proggress i will be back

That 60' is like whoa! Love it man! I would love to build an all motor car some day... I just love how much progress the all motor class has made in the past few years! Keep up the great work!
Oh and u mentioned the tranny holding you back? Care to elaborate?

what kind of upper and lower control arms and what bushings are you running in the front and rear if you don't mind me asking.
