Re: where is the 1994 civic diagnostic port.
Under the dash, on the passenger side of the car. If it hasn't been tampered with it will have a green sleeve over it. Otherwise, it is a brown two wire plug.

Re: where is the 1994 civic diagnostic port.
Just connect the two ports with the key in "on" position, and the check engine light will flash. Long flash is 10 and short is 1.

Okay-since no one brought this up,
Pre-1996= OBD 1 Datalink under pass dash- 1996-Present= OBD 2 16-pin Dataport under driver-side dash under steering wheel OBD= On Board Diagnostic 1= 1 O2 sensor per engine bank, used for ECU fuel trim/compensation 2= 2 O2 sensor per engine bank, 1 upstream before catalytic converter (cat), 1 downstream after catalytic converter (cat) downstream used for ECU monitoring of catalytic converter efficiency. Hope this helps! |

Re: where is the 1994 civic diagnostic port.
Oh, and for clarification, to decipher the code for the check engine light, you can plug a paper clip into the datalink connector on the pass side of the car, and count the flashes with the key on, engine off. the long flash indicates the first number, and the short flash indicates the second number. Ex., two long flashes, two short flashes equals code 22. Good luck!!!
