A fan favorite

Hosted at Chicago's Navy Pier for its third year in the Great Lakes region was the trendsetting car show Wekfest. Just like other Wekfest shows, the range of vehicles present was picked by the staff prior to the event and curated with consideration for the best representation of that region.

A unique wrap for sure

Just two years ago Navy Pier celebrated its 100th anniversary, providing a more than ample indoor room space for vendor booths, vehicles, and the large crowds that made their way to the event. As with any import car show, there was no shortage of Hondas to check out in all sorts of flavors.

Oldie but goodie

The CRX you see above is a crazy example of the type of detail and subtle beauty you'll find at Wekfest shows. The RHD build even showcases an amazingly done K-swap, a 5-lug conversion with Mugen MF10s, and custom paint among other mods. A great rule of thumb for heavy customization is to have a keen eye for detail and a high level of execution to make the car as solid as possible.

it's whatever you need it to be

The ultra-versatile hatchback fifth-gen Civic is a car that you just have to love. The car is an awesome blank canvas for tuners due to its ease of modification and a plethora of options when it comes to the aftermarket part bins. Under the hood of this one is an ERL sleeved GS-R block with 84mm Arias pistons and Eagle H-beam rods to withstand 20psi of boost from a Precision 6266 turbo mounted to a BWR top-mounted manifold. The classic white wheels are Regamasters wrapped in Falken Azenis RT615Ks. You may not expect much from this older Civic at first glance but it is no slouch and puts out over 500 horsepower without thinking twice about it.

From Japan with Love

This JDM RHD NSX was featured in Super Street earlier this ear and it's easy to see why. Under the rear engine cover is an ARC aluminum radiator, a K&N filter combined with a Taitec header and Taitec GT-009R exhaust bolted on. For more improved shifting, gone is the stock unit in favor of a 6-speed from an NSX-R.
