have a quick question.. I just installed the cs2 550/650 setup on my hpde/track integra. I ended up using the upper mount holes on the rear.. if use the lower holes there is a lot of space between the spring and top hat when car is in the air/jack stands. almost as if it could use helper springs. using upper hole it just seems to work better. you see any problems with this? also I have the ride height right around 12-1/4". is there a optimum ride height for track use?

thanks

* You may be limiting the droop travel too much using the upper hole. We prefer the lower hole. Check by jacking up the rear corner from ride height and measuring the travel down. You need roughly 2" down from ride height.
* You can add flat-wound tender springs with the 650# rears if you would like. Quality tenders are pricey.
* Your ride height is super-close. Our GSR shop car is at 12.25" at all four corners. This is right at the sweet spot for this chassis. We are running 16" wheels.

Here is our shop car, a 2000 GSR setting at 12.25" front and rear. This is a recommended ride height for this chassis or similar models. Tires are 205/45ZR16 Toyo Proxes R1R's on Konigs.

"subd, interested for drag set up for 1991 Honda. if not EG ones will work"

We suggest 450/550 for street/strip or 550/650 for drag-only applications. Here is a link:

Progress Technology: Anti-roll bars, sport springs, coil-overs, camber kits and more since 1995!

Currently on back order until early May.

i have 11 track sessions on my integra so far this year using the cs2 550/650 coil over kit.. so far i have been impressed. car is very neutral, easy to drive near the limit and rotates pretty well when provoked, but could deff use a rear sway bar.. currently on R888R 205/50/15 tire. my question is how would you feel about trying the 650 spring rate in the front. making the car 650f/650r spring rates? given the tire im on and the heavier integra i feel it could benefit. thoughts?

Hi mx621.
I read this earlier, and wanted to think it through before posting. 11 track days and R888Rs tells me you are pretty engaged. First, 650# front springs is a lot of rate for a rough race track, and if the front looses a bit of traction on a bumpy section, the car may develop a 'push' that you cannot overcome. Or that tire is just so darned grippy that it may not matter that much. The 650/650 setup is usually more 'pushy' in general. On a super-smooth course, it may be a better option. But the glaring thing here is that you are running the OEM rear sway. If I was to suggest one change, I would go to our #62.1041 rear sway/brace/link combo setup. The range of adjustment is right in the sweet spot for your track car, and you can fine tune the balance with the rear sway bar. Also, when you reduce body roll you will pick up dynamic camber, as less body roll means you will loose less camber on the outside tires during cornering, and this means more overall grip. I vote for the rear sway bar first, then reevaluate. Do you have some in-car footage you could post here?

Hint: use coupon code 20BUCKS and save a bit of coin.

Yea I have a go pro from summit point two weekends ago. I will upload a lap. I realize the cs2 is not a hardcore/dedicated track suspension. The goal was to have a good performing setup on a budget which it is doing very well. The only time the car pushed was the lower speed/tight section of the track, I agree a rear sway in is need

mx621... thanks for posting the pics.
The top picture tells a lot. The body roll looks like about 4*, the turn is banked, and you are well-past the apex. I'm thinking you have too much body roll. The rear sway will limit the roll by 2* minimum, likely more. That's two degrees of negative camber you have not had before

It would be awesome to have a 'like' pic from the same location after the rear bar installation on the same racing line. You will be faster, and the car will (likely) be more predictable to drive. BTW your car looks really nice!
