I'll assume this is for street tires, not for track tires.

Don't start out with step 5. You need to make your decisions in this order:

1. Decide on what diameter wheel to get (15", 16", etc).

2. Find out what the best tire size is for that size rim on your '96 Hatchback, which is:

15" rims - 195/50-15
16" rims - 205/40-16

3. Decide on what kind of tires you want to get.

4. Look up what rim widths are approved for the tire and size you're getting.

Most 195/50-15 tires are approved for rims 5.5-7.0 inches wide, and I recommend 15x6.

Most 205/40-16 tires are approved for rims 7.0-8.0 inches wide, and I recommend 16x7.

5. Decide what rim width to get, based on what's approved for your tires and what's available for the rims you like.

the pics of the cars up above are using negative camber ,stretched tires and have rolled fenders. i would look into a better coilover and/or strut setup(more stiff) if you wanna avoid harsh rubbing

The tire is the limiting factor on most Hondas. The widest tire that will fit being as close to possible with the stock OD is a 225 45 15. And with that you wont need a wheel any wider than an 8". Let alone the fact you won't be able to fit it without flaring the fenders and then you'll have to get an oversized tire to fit the rim....ugh.

yup, I was wondering the same thing. If I cant find a good 20-30 offset wheel, I'll be picking up a set of 16x7 +33 FN01R-C's. I'll mount them on a 205/45 Spt and see how they sit. I want my wheels sticking 3-5mm out from the fender. I'll get longer arp studs and a spacer if I need to.

And I want to roll my fenders a bit too, I've always really liked wide low stances.

I also like the looks of the wide wheels with the deeper lips.
Question about rolled fender.

Can you keep the plastic wheel well cover under the fender???
or
When you roll you fender you can't have that plastic peice anymore.
Because that plastic peice is connected to the outer part of the fender that you will roll.

I was going to roll my fender but didn't want to lose that plastic peice because then I would get dirt and crap all under my hood.

The bigger problem with losing the fender liners is that they protect the inside of the fenders from gravel and other objects kicked up by the tires. Without them, the fenders can easily get "dinged" (dented) from underneath.

So I can't roll my fender without losing the fender liner??
