what to do? stripped/seized lug on loose stud

I am switching out my wheels for a race tomorrow and one of the lug nuts strips and seizes on the stud, but then the stud gets loose and is free spinning also. in other words, they are like one piece now and spinning freely together. so I cant get the wheel off to get to the studs... what are my options?

Depending on how much clearance you have to the lugs themselves, I'd recommend getting a Dremel out and trying to cut the lug nut off.

If its a rear you could pull the whole hub/rotor off. You will need to remove the caliper and destroy the grease cap to get to the nut.

Might be safer to the wheel vs a dremel.

Just a thought
