I've been trying to find some period correct Mugen wheels for my EF for some time now. Most of what I've seen stateside is outrageously expensive for some beat up wheels (It's expected, I know). One place I've seen them often is on ebay, but they're all pretty much shipped from the Philippines. Even with shipping, they seem to come out cheaper than what some of these California import companies are charging. I was wondering if anyone has ever picked up a set of these "ebay" Mugen wheels from overseas? If so, how did it go and how long did it take to receive them? I just wanted to get other people thoughts and experiences before I pull the trigger on this decision.

Something to note: the Philippines is littered with knock-off manufacturers. Rota's headquarters is there. So its quite possible you're not looking at legitimate original wheels, but more so a knock-off.

That was one of my biggest concerns. But usually you can tell the difference between authentic wheels and the cheaper knock offs. But when a set of 15" Mugen Mr5s run 1500-2000 here, 750 plus 200 shipping sounds tempting.

I've never seen MR5's that high, unless you're referring to a mint set of Anniversary editions. I could see them capping at about $1200 for a great set.
