Does anyone change wheels in winter?
My Accord has the OEM 8 spoke alloy wheels but those are looking rough. I am about to have them powder coated in a 2-tone scheme. I have found a set of OEM steel wheels of the same size from a wrecked Accord.
My plan is to run all season on the alloy wheels in spring, summer, and fall and winter/snow tires in the winter on the steel wheels. I'll do a wheel/tire swap as winter and spring approaches.
Anyone else do this?

Yes, a second set of wheels and tires for the winter is a great idea. I do this on each of my cars! For my new Civic, I'll be getting a second set of alloys though, as the salt from winter roads can rust the steel wheels. A proper snow tire makes a BIG difference versus an all-season tire.

Alloy wheels corrode too.......as I have found first-hand plus they stick to the steel rotors and drums, "dissimilar metal corrosion." I plan to have my alloy wheels powder coated this coming spring.
How about that big snow and ice you guys in NC got coming?
Change of plans: I no longer will get snow tires for this winter as I'm parking my Accord until spring for when I get those brake and fuel lines remade and replaced (doing it myself). Next year though, I definitely want to go through with my original plan to run all seasons spring, summer, and fall, and winter tires in winter.
Good luck on getting a second set of alloys.....are you buying new, hitting up a junkyard, or buying period remanufactured?
