i wouldnt do it to a set of rims that were in mint shape. Mine were starting to look like ****... but it's an excellent way to restore them if you have the time.. i think they will end up looking very sharp on the car! I had them out in the sun today
you will pay less than 200 to do this yourself - a rim re-finishing place would probably ask you to bend over for this.
So who will be the first to buy a raggedy set of Si rims on E-Bay and try this?

Re: How to polish your (ECAhatch)
You might want to clear-coat them. I dont think that finish will last long on the street with out something protecting them (polished metal scratches very easily).

I've driven on bare aluminum rims before and had a polished valve cover for a while too.. i dont remember having any issues with scratches?
We'll see how it goes..
So yeah, this is my 2nd set of rims i've polished - i did a set about 5 yeras ago.. so keep in mind that i'm not exactly new at this..
Thanks for the comments guys - after all this work it's nice to hear positive words.

Do you have before/after pics? My rims are kind of gone to **** and I'd like to see how bad yours were before you did the project.
