Re: Vented Valve Cover Post up some pics!
That's incredibly clean.
I'm looking to modify my setup (ls/vtec turbo, new everything)
I'm using stock PCV on the back of the block, and a breather on my valve cover. 100 miles on the motor.
In boost, oil SPRAYS out of my breather at the top of my valve cover.
I'm not sure if it's a result of boost blowby in the cylinders (because it's a new motor) or if the PCV system is actually being charged with boost directly from the intake manifold (where the PCV box on the back of my block goes).
I wonder if I get a catch can, source both the PCV box and my valve cover to the catch can, and then run a good line from the catch can to JUST BEFORE my turbo, in order to create constant vacuum and (using the big catch can) minimize the amount of oil going into my whole intake setup.
However, if the pressure that's blowing oil out my breather is due to Blowby (rather than from charging the PCV system due to being hooked to the intake manifold), this setup will not help me. I'll just BLOW oil from the valve cover into the catch can (just like is happening out the breather right now) and wind up with oil all through my turbo and piping and intake and engine. Hmmm...
Awesome setup there. That's incredibly clean.
Some amazing ideas in this thread. I hope it keeps alive.

OK so I've built a couple of these set ups and the customers have always been happy so I'm considering offering a setup like this in a complete kit format with a valve cover not the just the box just wanted to gauge interest from the not so diy crowd so all feed back is
