looks great!

is there just a plate on the exhaust tunnel where the two d-bars meet up? i was always under the impression that we needed a lower cross bar that the two d-bars can connect to near the exhaust tunnel. thank you

thanks.

I'v read here on h-tech that you need them. Don't believe everything you read here as much of it can be nonsense. Everything must be taken with a grain of salt. When NHRA revises their rulebook to include that bar; then it will be required.

We have talked about making it into a video game seat

What do you guys think about mounting the parachute anchor higher? I just purchased the stroud fwd parachute last week and in conversation with one of there techs they say that we should start to mount our anchors higher to help from pulling the car up. If you look at alot of the pro fwd cars especially GM you'll see that the mounts are up in the trunk lid.

Yes, definitely, after doing a few and driving them, the tag line definitely needs to be high. Otherwise it's a hell of a ride when the chute hits! lol

Haha, yeah, get outta here with that noise until you put a turbo on your car Danny.

Seriously though, our cars are so light in the back and i think the higher you can get the tag line the better. Going "too" high will just pull the rear of the car down more, which isn't so much of a bad thing as far as i can tell.

I think you're scared of what your car would do with a turbo!

my car and 4 others failed the test today because they did not have the new style d bar . the guy said the cages passed every where else but we had to cut the old one out and put the new style in . when i asked where in the rule book it was he said its not even in the sfi book he had . plus he could not tell us the correct way to do it he pretty much said this is how i would do it and it should be fine .so i contacted nhra and its being looked at plus he said he would see what he could do kind of hard to in force a rule thats not in a rule book but he could not put stickers on the cars

WTF? That can't be right. How in the hell are you going to enforce a rule that's not in writing? Should we just guess what size tubing to use and where it goes and cross our fingers or what? lol
