that corner bend is going to hurt flow, you need a smooth transition bend, not a shap one like that. welds are decent

welds are alright, they wre not super pretty but they will hold. What's the deal with that cheater bend? Is it that tight under there?

It's a 5 out of 10. Obviously whom ever fab'd it up doesnt do much work in the turbo world or just isn't very educated. Now to be completely honest, this is part your fault for not bringing it to someone who doesn't know their stuff and not SPECIFICALLY telling them what to do. You cant expect them to just know or read your mind. But i would not pay top dollar for that work. Its a step above a muffler shop but a few steps below most novice welders who actually understand basic turbocharger theory.

I'm not sure what the best route would be for you. You can go back and have them do the work again. Id probably request they do the work from the 90 off the turbo. Sit there with them or SPECIFICALLY tell them exactly what you want. Say you will pay for the cost of the actual parts but you refuse to pay for labor. That way they dont lose a ton of money because they arent totally at fault. If you told them EXACTLY what to do. Walk in, say you want it redone correctly and if they refuse you will bring them to court. Basically make it so they want to fix the problem for you. If you are at fault, claim your fault but also make sure they know they are partially to blame too. If its their fault, make them understand one way or another they will fix the problem, even if you have to force them.

One thing people need to learn is either be very specific, pay extra for experiance, or just do everything yourself. Im in favor of the latter. Doesn't make me right though.

that bend is...not a bend. its a corner. The funky welds wont really cost much HP if any, the kink will.

Cut off the corner bend and at least do some jdm pie cuts to smooth it out.

I have to say that Iam in no way a pro at this but couldn't you have achieved that bend with some pie cuts ?I also would like to say that it looks good to me since I could never do that on my own.
Hulkhb beat me to it lol

I did'nt fab this dp, a "professional fabricator" did. I tried to vioce my displeasure about this person and the job he did. I won't go into what else he did cause the thread got locked the last time when I justified my position of displeasure. Anyway, he does'nt seem to be a very good exhaust fabricator. Maybe I am just overly critical. Lemme know if I am being so...........

Well you are the customer and if it is not what you wanted then he is fault. I would ask him to redo it if you told him beforehand how you wanted it to be made.

i can understand maybe not purging, but come on. that 45 degree chop? I never knew exhaust flow likes to slam into a wall to be diverted out. I mean did they just run out of bends? Thats not even that right of a radius.

the guy that did the fab was a retard... he even ground the cast v-band off of the turbo so he could (shittly) weld a new one on

Yup, Will is exactly right. He also ground off the stock v-band flange off of my hoslet hy35 turbo (which would have worked, with a lil' work) and welded on a stainless v-band with 316 rod (should have used nickel or at least 309/308), but many think that I am wrong for feeling that he should have used different rod or at least informed me of what he was considering doing.

He didn't even ask me if this was ok, nor did he even know what filler he used until I asked him. Many say that I shouldn't be worried OR upset that he did this but I don't feel that is correct. I personally think that this guy makes a decent bead, but doesn't know much about exhuast work or welding dissimilar metals.

I remember someone saying that they would use this guy and would like his info.............would you still like his #?

Depending on what your goals are, it'll be fine. It definately could be better, but if saab can do it, why can't you.
