Default Opinions on Lincoln welder

I received this as a gift recently and was looking for opinions from experienced welders. I plan to possibly fab some exhausts. DP's etc. I know this is a flux-cored welder and in the FAQ it says to stay away from them due to the mess?? Someones .02 please whether or not I should keep or upgrade. TIA
Here is a pic

I can't tell what model it is from the pic but see if it can be upgraded to gas sheilded, you can still weld dp and thigs with flux core but its not as clean looking as welding with gas.

just use a wire brush after youre done welding and it will clean it up pretty good. when i started out with my flux-core the welds werent all that great. now that i have used it i can make the welds look pretty good. maybe not quite as good as if they were with gas but theyre pretty damn close
