my FAB thread.
Well, I'm always peeking around in this forum so I might as well show pictures of my fab work. I have a little over 4yrs of experience in TIG welding and have/had certifications for working in the aerospace industry, and I'm also a certified welding inspector per AWI specifications.
I don't really got much pictures since I just started a new position at a reputable motorsports facility, but here's the few + more in the future.
This is just a little 2.5" 304L SS test pipe for a VW corrado
Update: Subaru STI SCCA solo 1 compliant 4pt roll bar. First cage I ever built along with a buddy (his first cage also) and just finished it as of today Oct 2. All that is needed is paint which will be satin black. I'm very pleased on how well it turned it as far as my measurements and angles according to my sketch.
the car
main hoop fitment
main hoop clearance to head liner
base/pad welded and fit the contour of the floor
main hoop welded completely and down bars are being fitted to 4x4 pads near the strut tower.
fish mouths at an angle completely welded
front view
side view
rear view
completed cage with down bars welded to 4x4 pads and spreader and cross bar at different angles
more projects to come so be patient and feel free to comment.

I can't even tell what the second pic is?
Looks good I guess from what I can see...pics are kinda small and don't show much detail

Re: (m R g S r)
Sorry about that, I took the pictures using my phone so the quality isn't really that great. I'll see if a bigger size will give it more detail.

You mean AWS? Don't they require 5yrs experience to become a CWI?

Re: my FAB thread. (Engloid)
Sorry yes AWS per boeing specs and CWI per boeing specs also. That's why it didn't really take me 5yrs to obtain one. This was at my old job so I'm pretty sure my certifications will be expired in the next six months since you have to update your qualifications.
