Why don't you PM him? This thread is old, and unlikely he checks it with any consistently.

I like this a lot. I was thinking of doing a project with k20 with s2000 6speed tranny. RWD
But the V160 is a way better tranny hands down.

The v160 sucks actually....if your going to spend that much, might as well at least get a t56 or depening on what the car is for maybe even a gforce 5spd and be done with tranny issues all together

Well a T56 isn't a bad tranny but If your looking for cost effective and short term use... Not to mention they were never built for high RPM'S. Then That would be your tranny. We all have our own opinions and preferences at the end of the day. I'll stick with the supra trans

How much was your v160 setup with clutch and all?

Liberty or gforce will face plate a t56 and the cost will still be well under 3k.
I went straight for the gforce clutchless just to not have any worries.

Way late but in case someone else stumbles upon the thread with a similar question:
There are adapter plates for k-series to Miata, BMW, and S2000 transmissions now. Kmiata makes the first 2 and I can't remember who makes the third.

Hi Mark,

I’m new to this site. I’m looking at an engine swap in to an mg midget and I’m considering the Honda k20 with a w58 gearbox and your interface plate might make this viable however I could do with some dimensions. Can you provide me some dimensions so I can see if the engine and gearbox line up in the engine bay and gearbox tunnel.

Thanks

Dominic

I have attached some pictures.

I will need some help on the motor side of the build so will be asking heaps of wiring and fueling related questions in the future.

Good afternoon to everyone in this forum, he asked where I can get the housing of the Toyota w58 transmission since I am interested, it is the one in this photo.
