K24 RWD Mcgregor Lotus 7
Hi Guys,
I am building a Lotus 7 replica with a K24 motor.
Using a McGregor Motorsport Bell housing that mates the K20/24 to a W58 Toyota transmission.
Made the bell housing myself and am now casting them and selling them to fund the build.
I have attached some pictures.
I will need some help on the motor side of the build so will be asking heaps of wiring and fueling related questions in the future.
Mark

That bellhousing will open up a lot of options for rwd projects, nice to see someone taking the initiative to make custom parts.
P.S. I need one of those hoodies

Yea I think that's the biggest plus. No adapter plate, modifying components. The cast one piece bellhousing offers a bolt on solution for everything mostly. I am curious as to what flywheel/clutch is being used

Fork , slave and bearing are std W5* toyota.
Obviously for big KW motor you will need some custom components.

was going to say this has already been done, but since your from New Zealand i can understand.
i have no idea who these guys are, only that i know they run in EM/DM in autocross over here in the states with a k24. if i remember right they are running a subaru rear diff..... but it's been like 5yrs since i've seen the car in person. pretty sure some guys on this forum will point you in the way to figure out who they are, and may be they can give you a few points on the electrical.

pretty wicked car huh? i more amazed that they went that route instead of the s2k route, but the torque curve is better with the k24.
hope you got their info so you can get some pointers.

Cool stuff! Have you thought about doing a midlana style build, motor behind the driver?
And for the sr20 why not just swap the ve head and oil pump onto the rwd sr?
