Default How to do the burnt exhaust tips question

I am doing some work for a company that wants their exhaust tips to have that burnt tip look. I seen some one made a thread about it a while back and he had some good replies, But i cant seem to find that thread. If i remmeber right there were a few guys that had done it that looked really good. and i want to say they dipped them in something. if anyone remmebers this thread or knows how to do it and make it look like the greddy and HKS stuff let me know.

Thanks
Jason

oxyacetylene torch with a rose bud tip... heat it up slowly and you'll see the colors you want to come in. i'll post a couple pics of somethings i've done in the past when I get a chance.

just make the tip longer than needed and weld a bead around the end and then cut it off, lol. you will see the heat from the weld
