Awesome work!! Anyone ever get there solid works created files quoted for DMLS production?

Or does anyone know if a DMLS collector/manifold would hold up like a fabricated mani or collector?

^ Uh, it would be excruciatingly expensive to machine something like that. It costs less than $45 to weld one together in materials, the chunk of stainless alone before machining would be at least 4-6x that.

^^^that, and then you still have machine time and tooling costs. as large of a chunk of stainless that it would take to machine out a collector would take quite a few hours, and would probably go through several bits since stainless chews that **** up

DMLS (direct metal laser sintering) is apparently a few steps ahead of the people that replied LOL.
So from what I gathered noone has made one from a solid chunk of stainless. Is that correct?
Does anyone have the SLD.PRT of the collector I can have?

Hi,
I am trying to make a merge collector for my exhaust manifold. I have made one but when I run cfd on it I get errors in making the mesh. I think it is because I haven't made the collector properly. Can you please send me the file.
