header difference???
since i know this is the welding section... you guys would pay particular attention to header details...
(if this i am wrong... please move this to the appropriate place.. TIA) anyways... what is the difference between the jdm header and the US DC header (both being 4-1), anr's header, smsp's header etc.... BESIDES the collector size... specifically... are the US DC headers primaries not as long as the better headers (ie, smsp's, anr's, etc) again.. TIA |
Y
That quote ^ up there is some funny as shit
I having problem........... |
Re: Y (RMF)
Long primaries are not necessarilly better

Re: Y (eLusive ek4)
so what makes them expensive headers top notch? besides the quality aspect.. i'm speaking of a design stand point (for an n/a setup)

Re: Y (SHystrdyGSRtdy)
There are many things to be considered in designing a header for specic application
such as Primary sizing primary length 4:1 vrs tri Y Collector sizing and angle Tail pipe sizing on and on etc a header designed to a partciular application is going to compliment that partciluar engine better then another header will Example i designed a header for a top notch race team SCCA They chnaged cams hafts built the header the gains showed 38+ hP from 2000-4000 and from 4000-8000 3-4 hp I redesigned the header i redesigned the header with the new camshaft 2000-4000 gain was 3-4 4000-8000 = 15 + HP shows how muhc a simle cam chnage can afftect the header designed Occasionally you can get a good middle of the road header that will compliment a wide variety of engines but there is muhc more power to be gained from one designed for a specific combination |
Re: header difference??? (SHystrdyGSRtdy)
with headers its obvious , you get what you pay for.
