Default serious noob with ?'s

ok,i really wanna learn/start welding some. mostly just small exhaust projects, and stuff the average guy comes across.ive been searching half the night on different types of welding,wleders,etc... ive decided fluxcore would be best for me for learning, and im gonna need something that runs off regular house current[im renting currently so thats what i got work with].http://www.mylincolnelectric.com/Cat...t.aspx?p=59618. this is what im looking at. now do you fella's think this will work for exhaust work etc....? also is fluxcore easy to learn on? later on im gonna step it bigger/better. i know from seaching the welds arent as sexy, but my main concern is just learning to get quality welds. i know most of you guys are way beyond this stuff im asking but im just starting out and i wanna learn to do things myself. any input, advice, links,or whatever you have would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

do yourself a favor.. get a 110 mig with gas.. It'll run a lot better than gassless fluxcore..

x2. Buy a decent used mig on craigslist. You are only looking at $300-$350 if you are patient.

from what ive seen most any off the welders that run the fluxcore will run mig also. so is mig that much better/easier to learn on? also i was concerned about using the gas,is there any danger in it? thats why i was thinking learn on the flux then step up to the mig. i appreciate the advice though, maybe ill go straight to the mig instead. also will the smaller welders like i posted do exhaust work, intercooler piping,etc...?

A 110 mig will do the majority of what you will want it to do very well, you won't have a problem with IC pipes or exhaust.
