Cheap & ghetto bulletproof exhaust leak fix
Do you have an exhaust leak that is just too damn loud and yet you cannot afford to get it properly fixed? Well, if you have at least $5 and some tools, you can follow this simple pictorial and quiet your pipe down considerably. I drove a car for over 4 years with this fix and it held up mightily.
first jack up your ride and inspect your problem.
Mine is a simple breakage of bad flange welds. This type of clean break will fix up nicely.....If you have a lot of rust over a large surface area, this may not work. You might want to consider cutting a section out and attaching some flex pipe. Which is another great cheap fix. For this though, we will be using a can of beans and two band clamps.
Be careful handling your can at this point. It could cut your hand very badly, sending you to the hospital.
Thats it folks! It took me about 30 minutes total to complete this job. Hopefully you only have to do this so you can quietly drive to the muffler shop. It’s always best to go get it properly fixed as soon as possible. That said, have confidence that this fix will last for a very long time if you’re poor like me and have to save up in order to visit any type of shop. Good luck!

By the way, having no spring bolts on your header to b pipe is what what broke that ‘weld’
you might want to put those on.

Re: Cheap & ghetto bulletproof exhaust leak fix
yeah this pipe Was fucked when I bought the car... I took it to a muffler specialist in the town where I bought it and asked him to weld it up real quick so I could make the 300+ mile journey home quietly. The guy didn’t even want to put the car on his lift, complaining that it was too low. I insisted, and he ******* complained about the car the whole time he was doin the damn job like it was MY fault that the exhaust was all fucked up. Took him like 5min to do the bullshit welds, then he charged me $80! ****, I didn’t want to start a fight while in a strange town, so I shelled out the cash..... that was in April... didn’t even last 6 months.

yeah, the bolts on there now will not budge. I’m piecing together a 2.5” exhaust setup now.... need a test pipe and header then this whole damn thing is coming off.
