Look on amazon.com for some books on the subject or most universities with a plastics engineering or some sort of mechanical engineering usually teach applications and processing of carbon fiber. The latter is far more in depth all the way down to the chemistry of the resin. Check out the Vehicle Research Institute @ http://www.etec.wwu.edu/ we have built a signifigant number of prototype carbon fiber cars.

good luck

hey homie, a very very good place to go is Cerritos Community College in Norwalk, CA. They have a full on composites program ranging from making your own flat panels to learning on how to make F1, aerospace, etc.,components. Highly Recommended....http://web.cerritos.edu/schedule/PMT/index.html
ask for Terry Price, he's the chair of the dept. and tell him nelson soto sent you

A good reference book is Competition Car Composites: A Practical Guide. It's a little dry but it goes over a lot of the materials and basics, then slowly builds into more complicated projects.

You can get it at Amazon at this link:

number7s: Interesting Manson quote. It's better when you give credit to the author though.
