So does the whole harness have to be redone from scratch if someone wants to do these Mil Spec connectors or are these connectors taking the place of the OEM connectors?

$375 is not the same harness you see in the pictures. it is a service of nylon wire loom and heatshrink done to your stock engine harness.

Yes, correct. BIG difference. In the pics on my site you can see its not the same harness as pictured above.

I'm assuming you used some higher quality wire than oem, if so, how do you go about incorporating the factory sensors? do you just cut the wires a few inches back from the sensors and then connect them to the high quality wire, or do you disassemble the factory connector and repin it with the higher quality wire?

anybody else care to share the way they do it?

in some thread on here they people explain that you can order the OEM pins from AEM and other companies.

So they buy the pins and the crimping tool (people say MAC tools has a good one) and run a brand new set-up.

I know it is pretty weird but the Appearance Cosmetic Forums actually has a lot of good technical info on this type of stuff.

there is another thread in this forum about the OEM pins and crimpers

Anyone runs a shop that sells full connectors ready to crimp and use, instead of looking all around for parts that go on other parts?

or any individual looking for some extra money that can make me such favor?

They are relays for VTEC, radiator fan, fuel pump, and to power up the M&W.

As far as price, excluding my labor, Travis spent ~$750 on the Motec unterminated harness, $100 for the Honda connector kit, and another $700 or so from P-R-S for the wire, DT connectors, and shrink. That doesn't include all the little things like the CBR coils/connectors, Tony's cam trigger, a $250 pressure transducer for fuel press, etc., etc.

It's hard to see in the pics, but the Prologger module and wideband inputs/outputs are integrated into the entire harness. Normally they'd be run separate, but I'm a little **** when it comes to this ****!

And not to hi-jack the thread, but here's a few more pics of Travis' setup.

Almost the beginning...

P.S. - Has anyone found a pin that will fit over the factory coolant temperature sender (for the gauge in the cluster)? I have yet to find one. Probably going to try using a Weatherpack/Packard female pin if there's one close to the right diameter.

Thanks!

EDIT: Looks like Jason/Rywire knows where to get them!

Kataku2K3, looks like we have some wiring in common. I like your work.

Jason doesnt do any of the Milspec work with us btw. Just me and Ryan.

The Coolant temp sensor is a little trick, its easier to get than you think.

Oh my bad... I like your guys' stuff too! Jason's the only one I know as I've done some stuff with him in the past. It's not a factory connector/wiring tied into the harness further back, is it? I'm extremely weird when it comes to this **** and won't use any factory wiring if at all possible... Even though I know I could just crimp an OE line on. Looks like the factory connector with some shrink over it?

Good guess?

Thanks man, yeah Jason sold the jumper harness stuff to Rywire. This is some fairly sorta recent stuff Ryan and I have been doing.

Nah no factory wire in our harnesses, all new wire and all new pins. Agreed on that, we're the same way. Good guess! Its a Factory connector with the factory boot taken off and shrink tubed. We used a new pin for it tho. Looks fancy.
