My question is too all you welder guys, How are you getting your 240v power source?
I did some research but if any of you can chime in please do, My breaker is about 50ft away from the welding station. Can i just run a 3 wire inclosed female plug setup to a 30amp breaker? RED & BLACK " HOT " & WHITE " GROUND "

Re: 30amp 240v 3 wire weld plug
I just added an outdoor electrical box just below my breaker ran 6/3 cable to it. Then I use a 50ft 8/3 outdoor extension cord to get power to my garage when I need to weld.

Check the amperage output of your welder, my AHP Alpha Tig is rated for 40 amps so the typical 30 amp dryer outlet should not be used. If I remember correctly I used a 50amp breaker and 50 amp plug in the outdoor box.
