WTB LS TRANSMISSION
Located North Carolina will pay shipping or pick up if possible. May be interested in bell housing alone or decent price gear sets.
Just completed my swap and the shift linkage shattered the back of the case at the stop sign putting it into first. Case was previously used in h2b and bottomed out a lot. Probably cracked. Sad face

Please read tho. Thank you guys I love you. I actually managed to find an LS trans semi locally, but now that it’s home when I shake it, I can hear loose components inside? Is that normal? It’s not free and loose like random, just seems like there’s definitely some slack/repetitive movement happening.
Since I’m now almost 2.5 over budget I would like to know if I should tear this case apart before running it so I don’t have another catastrophic failure.
Since y’all have trannys in front of you... do they make an internal noise when you give them a little shake?
Y’know... for science?
My google-fu is not masterful enough to find data that maybe doesn’t exist.

No I didn't because you shouldn't hear anything just shaking it unless the throwout fork and release bearing are still attached. Turn the input shaft by hand, it should be smooth with no play side to side. Bench shift the transmission and make sure they all engage. A little late at this point but you'll know pretty quick if there's something wrong.
