WTB: 1999-2000 EBP SI/SIR (EM1)
Hello All,
I am in the market for an EM1. As the title states I would prefer blue, but depending on the condition I would be open to other colors. I'm looking for clean title cars, VIN matching body panels if possible, absolutely no rust, and something under 100,000 miles or as close to as possible. I have cash on hand and I'm currently in the Northeast but I'm not afraid of shipping a car to my home. I know my requests are a long shot, but please help me out with any leads you come across.
Thank you, Justin

What's your price range? I have a 2000 EPB em1. It's totally stock (has aftermarket radio but I still have to stock one). just rolled over 150k miles last week. Timing belt, tensioner, and water pump was done lest than 2 months ago (done at a shop, not a diy job from me). Month old Yokohama S drive tires.
Car needs nothing. It's my daily so miles go up (car to the left of it in the pic is my weekend). I haven't really thought about actually trying to sell it but if the price is right everything is up for sale. I'm in south Tennessee.

Thanks Mike! The first link it's certainly a pricey one. It looks to be a clean car but for $14,700, I just don't see it going that much. I was going to submit an offer but I don't know if it's a realistic price.
The other in Schnecksville PA I may go look at. About a 4 hr ride from my home so not terrible.
The last car on eBay looks like it has some rust issues on the quarter panels, but it could be the lighting. I'll message the seller for more details.
Thanks again, Justin

Be prepared to pay $10k or more for a clean original EM1 with less than 100,000 miles. Cars with ~75k miles or less are selling for $12-$15k. Keep in mind they are vin matching, original paint, pristine cars. It's not too difficult to find a clean swapped EM1 that has been in a minor accident for much less. You pay for originality.

That 14.7K example just sold on Bring a Trailer in September. Selling price of unknown since the winning bidder flaked. See comments. The eBay auction reeks of a flipper. Seller didn't even bother to take new pictures.

The market is surging in respect to unmolested EM1s. Don't expect to scoop one up for cheap unless you find someone that didn't do their homework.

Appreciate the feedback fellas. I’m definitely not afraid to pay top dollar for an unmolested EM1. I was just thrown for a loop with that EM1 being for sale for $14.7k because it’s not 100% vin matching and it’s only 3k away from hitting 100k miles. The seller also told me that the car still has the original timing belt and water pump which is kind of wild to hear. I’m still interested in that car so we’ll see what happens but thank you again guys!

I've been on BaT for years now. Before they even did auctions, when it was just a "Hey look what I found on Craigslist" site. They all wait until the last second. Even though the timer resets to 2:00 after every bid, everyone tries to snipe the auction with last second bids.

I’m not wasting anyone’s time. A clean EBP EM1 is not easiest car to find, and I remain patient for the right one to pop up. I say this now after the one on BAT is up for sale, but I’m sorry I’m not looking for a car that has a rebuilt motor. I should’ve been more clear in my post. To be honest I didn’t respond to your text because I thought you were sending me photos your car.

Well to clear up the confusion, what I meant was that the motor was gone through and anything needed was replaced with factory items. Nothing was changed as far as bore size or changefrom factory spec. It's obvious that motors need maintenance along the way of their life, if u don't replace anything well good luck in the long run. I did send you pics . Red mint 99 SI
