I'm moving abroad soon and looking to sell my restored-to-original 1997 Honda Del Sol Si. Specifications: 1.6L 1590CC L4 VTEC SOHC. 143,329 miles. This car has no modifications, normal right height, it has been faithfully restored to its original glory - including factory paint color. It runs great with no issues, really fun to drive! No oil leaks, no body rust (minor rust on muffler) near perfect condition. No dents, no accidents, with a clean title. The driver's seat has a very small hole in the back. Garage kept, non smoking driver. The AC blows cold, all windows are automated. Before restoration and replacement of most parts, this car had a little over 140,000 miles on it. Since then it has only had around 3,000 additional miles put on. Qualifies for historic vehicle tags. A list of all things new is as follows:

All new seals and weatherstripping
New tires
Battery
Paint
Radio w/usb and aux input
Door and roof handles + stoppers
Interior door panels
Front and rear pads and rotors
Trunk lift
Headlights
Engine mounts
Wipers
Washer pump
Ball joints
Oil pan gasket
Ignition plugs, cap, rotor, and wires
Dist. O-ring
T-belt water pump cam, crank seals, drive belts

Plus a four wheel and front end alignment, regular maintenance, and auto trans service performed. I kept all my records, including before photos, so ask me anything! There aren't a lot of these left in good condition. I'm asking $8,500, OBO.

Located in western Maryland, close to DC, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia. Can drive to deliver within reason :)https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/honda-t...e058a3936e.jpg

Engine bay pics?

"No body rust" typically means there's rust on main suspension components like lower control arm bolts, and every steel/iron bit under the hood.

I know this is a Honda forum, but it's also a Honda enthusiasts' forum where we see all kinds of amazing stuff get sold for wide ranges of prices. I don't think anyone here will pay anywhere near $8,500.00 for a stock SOHC automatic Del Sol. You're better off trying Bring a Trailer or something where old people who cannot drive a stick, but want something original would be more likely to buy this.

Added engine pics, and amended to say the only rust is a little bit on the muffler. I'm listing it other places as well, including bring a trailer.

Good looking car but 8500 is way too high. I would say half your asking price is a decent starting point and that's still up there, speaking from someone who has owned 3 sols two of them being b16 models GLWS.

... and it is an AUTOMATIC. The manual transmission cars are more desirable, and thus, command the higher prices. Your asking price is strong and will make it a tough sell... but all it takes is that one perfect buyer and you will be set. Pretty car. GLWS.

Just giving some feedback. We bought a Red Sol with 99,000 miles for $4,000, and it was a 5 speed model. It all OEM ad well. Just a thought.
