Up for sale is my 2000 Honda Insight with K20A2 swap. My goal for this car was to recreate my old 88 CRX Si in a modern day chassis that was safe & would not rust. The Insight is small, lightweight & has an aluminum uni-body so it was the perfect choice. I purchased a used Insight with a bad motor & started looking for a K swap. Since I needed lots of RSX components like wiring harness, axles, spindles, brakes, shift linkage etc I decided to purchase a whole wrecked RSX Type S.

This is a clean swap, No problems, no CELs, nothing is cobbled together. Everything works as it should, functioning gauges, ABS, cruise control, & even Immobi works. I did the swap myself back in 2007 & have put 22k problem free miles on it since then.

Clean title, no leins, no accidents
(have title for RSX-S engine as well)
Current chassis mileage: 298,xxx
RSX-S Engine mileage: @45k

Wiring, wiring, & more wiring. In the end everything was soldered, shrink-wrapped & tucked away nicely.

awesome! what kind of mpg do you net due to the aerodynamics of the insight?

I get 35-40mpg depending on driving style. The rolling resistance & aero are really good & with the k20 power it could pull a much taller gear on the highway. If I kept the car my next step was to swap to a TSX 6th gear & add LSD. I think with taller gearing at highway cruise you could pick up another couple mpg.

Not sure on Cali rules for engine swaps but Yes, the exhaust is the stock RSX-S exhaust cut & welded to fit on the Insight including: the exhaust manifold, catalyst, underfloor resonator, muffler, & both O2 sensors.

Yes myself, just never had the time.

I have all the A/C components, but the connection from the Insight condenser to the RSX compressor is different & needs modified to connect, just never had the time.

Insight has EPS(electric assist powersteering) & yes it is working

Yeah if it does not sell in a few weeks I was planning to put it up on Ebay. Ebay seller fees are just so darn expensive.
