EDIT DEC 5: The car is still up for sale but I am only taking offers on the complete car at the moment. I have had overwhelming interest in the shell but I want to see what kinds of offers I can get for the car as-is before going that route. I'm currently in NYC but I will be working to arrange viewing of the car in SoCal on my behalf.

It's pretty hard for me to even type this up as I never thought I'd end up selling this car but life changes and I'm doing a lot of things I never thought I'd do lately like moving to NYC which is why I am considering selling this car if it can go to the right owner at the right price.

Let me start out by saying that this is NOT A SHOW CAR. It has lots of small dings and dents but it’s the most solid and best driving Civic I’ve ever been in. It’s very much a track car and as such is currently non-op registered, but it could be made into a show car for sure. What it is is an authentic, mostly original, mechanically sound and never crashed vehicle. I have turned every bolt myself and documented the entire process in various media forms (lots of links below). I didn’t cut any corners and used only TOP SHELF parts.

For me it makes way more sense to part the car out than it does to sell it as-is because a lot of the parts will be difficult to recuperate the price of, namely the custom-made KW shocks which are top-of-the-line competition 3-way adjustable units which were custom made for this car based on actual corner weights and wheel weights. It has very expensive shocks that cost $8,000 +tax and have less than 50 miles on them. They are on par with the best offerings from brands like Ohlins, Sachs, Moton and JRZ. These are not JDM bling-blang, they’re serious racing shocks. I have other shocks I can put on the car that will drop the price quite a bit.

I’d also really like to keep the motor since they're ganging value and I have another project that I was planning on installing it in, but money talks I guess. This could be a great candidate for a K-series track car (that's what I was planning on doing if I keep it.)

Price varies depending on parts included. Asking $12,500 as the car sits. $10,000 if the shocks are switched to ST coilovers. 1996 Honda Civic CX. Located in Los Angeles. Clean CA title, currently non-op registered. Originally an AZ car. I’ve owned it since 2005 and brought it from AZ to CA.

This car still has a FULL A/C system in place

Shell is semi-stripped, all carpet, sound deadening and rear seats have been removed. Trunk area has been painted but the floor board is raw where sound deadening was stripped. Rear plastic panels have been cut to allow for strut bar and access to shock adjustment. Door panels, dash, pillar covers and headliner are all in place.

Yep, same car. Wish I didn't have to get rid of it but I think it should be driven and not just sitting in storage. Not much point to this car in Brooklyn lol.
