Default FS 91 CRX Si Florida

For Sale:

1991 Honda CRX Si with 92,337 originial miles

I bought this car about 4 months ago. Car was very clean, interior was near perfect. Previous owner had repainted the car in the original red. Car was bone stock with everything original and no accidents. Best of all, the undercarriage had no rust.

I was going to prep it for SCCA Club Racing ITA category where it is VERY competitive while I finish my MK3 race car project : http://www.supraforums.com/forum/sho...d.php?t=473930

I was about to order the material for the roll cage, and then I had a kid on Tuesday. The baby is going to make me give my daily to my wife, sell her Lexus, sell the CRX, and I bought another car as my daily (BMW M5).

THe car is running perfect, I did a ton of maintenance to the car including:
Re-sealing the entire motor:
New front main seal
New cam seal
New rear main seal
New oil pan gasket
New valve cover gasket
New spark plug hole gaskets

Then I tackled all the rubber bushings
All 24 or so OEM bushings were replaced with PIC Hard rubber bushings (like Mugen) not polyurethane.
This results in a car that rides like new without noises or chattering.

After changing the bushings, I changed all ball joints to brand new ones. I replaced the front upper control arms because that ball joint does not come out.

I also replaced the passenger side CV joint with a new one.

I put the lighter weight radiator (plastic end tanks instead of metal)

I replaced the front brake rotors with band new ones

I put new Hawk HP Plus brake pads on it (street/ track)

I added Goodridge Stainless steel brake lines to it.

I then proceeded to make the car more track capable.
I replaced the stock struts with Koni Yellows
Ground Control Coilovers 400 F 325 R spring rates (perfect rates for a street/ track car)
Stock front sway bar
Suspension Techniques rear sway bar

Power wise, the motor is bone stock except for:
AEM CAI
Ebay header

Transmission is stock Si 5 speed with a new exedy clutch.

The only big modification to the car is the removal of the factory sunroof and sealing the space with sheet metal and then finishing it off to look like new. I have pictures of that whole process if anyone doubts the quality of the work.

I also bought Enkei RPF 1's 15 x 7 wrapped with Toyo Proxes RA-1's 225/ 45 15's with 1 track day on them.

The last modification is a smaller after market steering wheel (with working horn button!)

Here is a video on youtube of what the car can do at the track: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5heHAbRRWvc

That is the only time it has been out. Been parked most of the other time...

Car will be sold AS-IS and will include stock rear sway bar, stock steering wheel, stock rims and tires, stock header, and stock intake system.

Asking $3900 firm. Car is probably the cleanest CRX out there. And if you want to get into racing, all you have to do is remove the interior trim and add a bolt in cage and you are good to go for ITA.

PICS:

More pics of anything upon request.

Here are some pictures of when I sealed the sunroof.

There was a wrecked Econoline at the shop so we took one of the doors and removed one of the door reinforcements. It was the right size to fit as the support beam for the sheetmetal covering hte sunroof whole. The reason we did this is to strengthen that open hole up with something and make the car a little more rigid. After we put some spot welds on it, we put sealant on it so tht it would not vribrate on with the sheet metal. The sheet metal was cut and then tacked in. Then seam welded all the way around. THen bondo to keep the curvature of the roof line. Then paint. I just realized I don't have any pictures of the interior, but it looks like stock inside. The little sunroof trm in the middle was glued to the headliner so that it looks like if the sunroof was closed on the inside.

Here are pictutes. Let me know if there are any questions. Oh, and somebody buy my car please!. It is in perfect shape...
