FS 2000 Honda Civic (Type R)
NEW PICS ON PAGE 2. Well, unfortunately I won't be able to keep my car, as I need the money, so I will be selling it. It is a 2000 Honda Civic EX that was completely converted to an Si (exterior and interior), the body has approximately 116000 miles on it. I would rate the interior a 9 out of 10, I like to keep it clean. The body would be about a 8 out of 10, minor door dings and what not from being over 10 years old, but it still looks really good. Right now the car has a JDM b18c motor and LSD trans, with approximately 20-30k. It has a brand new timing belt, water pump, all accessory belts, cap and rotor, plug wires, spark plugs, and brand new clutch all less that 500 miles on them. All the fluids have been recently changed withing 500 miles also. The car has volk te37s in bronze on them 16x7, I don't have an updated picture quite yet with those wheels, but I will also include the original si wheels in the sale. I put a lot of work into this car the engine and trans alone is worth about 5k and that doesn't include installation etc. Aftermarkets mods to this car are a high flow cat, apexi world sport 2 exhaust, aem cold air intake, asr rear subframe brace with a bigger rear sway bar. Everything on this car works as if it were brand new, I have had absolutely zero problems with this car since I've owned it before and after the swap, the car still has air conditioning and power steering. I am looking to get $8300 or best offer for this car, I wish I could keep it but I have to let it go, and I am sure someone on here would be the perfect person to pass it on to. I'll post up a few pictures I have now, and more when I can get some pics of the engine etc.. Call me at 847 436 3816, or pm on here.

It should be 99 Civic SI not Type R. Just saying. And yeah, I agree with EJ8Freek pretty pricey for a EM1. Similar ones in the same condition are going for 6k-7k.

Yeah you'll be lucky to walk away with 5k. KBB puts your car at $2,775.

Just FYI is you want to get this thing sold you might want to come down on your price.

If you guys aren't interested in the car, why post? My engine didn't cost me 3600 or 4200, its a 2001 model year engine, with practically no miles. Plus that 4200 doesn't include shipping or installation costs. So when all said and done it will be around 5k.

We're just trying to make you understand that even with a swap your asking price is WAY over what the car itself it worth. Realistically if you wanted to sell this thing you would come down to a reasonable price to attact buyers. Otherwise people are just going to give this thing a once over and move on to the next classified.

but every seller knows that they post a price up...just as a starting point. it is stated that its OBO so that people like you, me, everyone else on here will throw a price out there.
with that being said, the car looks clean and well taken care of and if someone really wanted a swapped coupe, they would pay the money for it, especially with it having an R motor without major motor mods.
good luck with the sale man.

Re: FS 2000 Honda Civic (Type R)
Well that is why its also OBO, I am starting at a price if I can't get that I'll take the best offer which if I think is fair I'd do, and I am quite aware its a clone and not a real type R civic, which I clearly wrote in the details, It has the ITR motor in it anyway, which IMO is better than the CTR motor. I put (type r) in the heading to draw more attention because its not just a normal 2000 honda civic. Every detail about the car is in the post.
