Default FS: 1998 Turbo LS (449 whp)

NEW PRICE: $10,000

Let me start off by saying that this car is my baby. I don’t want to sell it, but since I NEVER drive the car, I could use the cash more than I can use a nice, clean, powerful toy sitting in the garage (I guess I have my bike for that). The car has been garage kept for the last 4 years or so and in those 4 years, I have probably put under 5,000 miles on the car.

This car is also not a daily driver. I mean, you certainly could drive it everyday, but with what I have in it, I just wouldn’t. This is also not a car for someone who doesn’t know how or like to work on cars. It is by no means unreliable, but as all of us turbo Honda owners know, they can be finicky.

I have had this car for something like 7 years now, so for me to list everything I know about it would take years. I promise you this though: Ask me anything about it and I will answer it with complete and utter honesty. I have nothing to hide about this car. There are some light chips on the front end, a larger chip on the trunk lid, a tiny ding here and there, and some overspray in various places…but from 8 feet away, the car is perfect.

With the last motor (~400whp) and 22" slicks, the car ran an 11.9 in the quarter mile. I am pretty sure that as it sits right now, with 24.5" slicks, the car will just barely break into the 10's.

Exterior

- 20% Lumar tint (lifetime warranty)
- 2 year old milano red paint
- OEM optional side skirts (OEM Honda parts)
- OEM ITR front lip (OEM Honda part)
- ViS OEM style carbon fiber hood
- Sparco hood pins
- Shaved: Front emblems, rear emblems, rear key hole, antenna, rear window squirter, side moldings.
- OEM JDM window visors (OEM Honda part)
- Rear wiper delete
- Black housing corners

Interior

- Full stock black cloth interior
- DC Sports short throw shifter
- JDM ITR shift boot (OEM Honda part)
- Triple gauge pillar pod with Autometer Cobalt gauges (electric fuel pressure, oil pressure, and boost) – I think that the gear in the fuel pressure gauge is stripped, so it will need replacing
- Greddy Profec B Spec II boost controller
- Razo CF pedals

Audio

- Alpine CDA-9807 CD/MP3 player
- Some cheap JBL (I think) speakers in the front
- No speakers in rear

Security

- Will Be Disclosed but does include a 2-way pager and remote start and turbo timer

Wheels/suspension/brakes

- 16x7in. full polish Rota JMAGs
- 215.45.16 Falken Azenis RT015 ~50% tread left
- Skunk2 lowering springs
- KYB AGX 4-way adjustable shocks
- Skunk2 front camber kit (set to -1.0 deg)
- No camber correction in rear
- Brembo cross-drilled rotors in the rear, no name blanks in the front
- Axxis ultimate brake pads all the way around
- USDM 22mm ITR rear sway bar (OEM Honda part) with the BSQ mounting kit

Ignition

- MSD Digital 6 ignition box with 2-step rev limiter
- MSD modified distributor cap
- MSD Blaster SS external coil
- MSD 8.5mm Spark plug wires

Engine (engine parts are OEM unless otherwise noted and done within last 3,000 miles)

- Stock LS head
- Golden Eagle sleeved block – 84mm bore
- Block has copper o-rings installed
- Honed/decked/balanced (head was skimmed too)
- CP pistons – 9.75:1 compression ratio
- Golden Eagle head gasket (OEM bored out)
- Eagle rods with ARP rod bolts
- ARP head studs
- Stock intake manifold

- Mishimoto radiator with 2 12 inch slim fans

Transmission

- GS-R transmission
- ITR Limited Slip Differential
- New bearings ~3,000 miles ago
- Competition Clutch stage 4 clutch with upgraded pressure plate
- Competition Clutch 9 lbs. flywheel
- Omnipower clutch master cylinder

Performance

- Drag manifold
- Tial 38mm wastegate with upgraded valve (for leaded fuel)
- 2.5in. downpipe with dump welded in
- Flares to 3in. straight back into a 3in. Apexi N1 turbo muffler
- HKS SSQV blow off valve
- Garrett t3/t04e, .60/.63 A/R, 57 trim turbo
- Spearco/Drag intercooler

Fuel/management

- AEM fuel pressure regulator
- AEM fuel rail
- Marshall liquid filled fuel pressure gauge on the filter
- Walbro 255 lph fuel pump
- RC 750cc saturated injectors
- Hondata s100b

Performance figures

With full exhaust (3 inch):

290 hp/267 tq @ ~14 psi
344 hp/310 tq @ ~17 psi
417 hp/354 tq @ ~28 psi (C16)

Open down pipe (when you flip a switch the fuel/timing tables switch over):

336 hp/307 tq @ ~14 psi
363 hp/344 tq @ ~17 psi
449 hp/396 tq @ ~28 psi (C16)

Vehicle has just under 100,000 miles on the clock. There is about 40,000 miles on most of the aftermarket/performance stuff. The engine and internals have less than 5,000 miles on them.

Price

$14,000 OBO.

I will be more than happy to take anyone with cash in their pocket on a test drive.

Pictures will be up in a few hours.

Thanks for stopping by.
