2000 Civic EK Hatch | Tucked & Shaved | Clean | JDM, CTR, Import Tuner

Hey guys I am new to the website but not to the car scene. I bought this car from a guy in California back in January. All of the work that has been done to the car was done in SoCal. This car has just been sitting in my garage and has only made it to a few car shows so I figured it would be better enjoyed by someone else (plus I just purchased a Forester XT). The car was on the cover (small picture) of Import Tuner's April 2010 magazine and had a 7 page spread. This car turns a lot of heads and gets a lot of impressive comments. There is a lot of custom work done to this car and is not something that could just be purchased of the internet. The engine is a JDM B16a with the CTR gauge cluster that has the speedometer and odometer in kilometers. The chassis of the car itself has about 140,xxx on it but the engine has only about 45,xxx miles on it. The car because it is 11 years old does have a few scuffs and tiny tiny dent(s) on it. It also does need an alignment but that can be worked into the cost. I am looking for serious buyers as this car is one of a kind. I have a lot of the documentation for this car including the original owner's manual. I am asking $9,800 OBO which I feel for the price of parts and hard work put in this car is very fair. This car could be parted out for more but I do not have the time and would rather see it go as a whole item for someone to enjoy. My number is (281)974-9733. PLEASE read the following information so that I do not have to keep answering the same questions over and over:
-The car does not have a stereo system as it was stolen right before the photo shoot. Refer to Import Tuner article on Mishimoto's website.
-The car has been tucked and shaved which means there is NO power steering, a/c, or heater. Also because it was a very thorough tuck many sensors and fuses were pulled and parts removed that are not needed. Example: Cold start cable and sensor removed so when the engine is cold it takes a while for the rpms to drop from about 1500 to 900. When warm the car starts and idles at about 750 then starts to go down thinking it is warming up but then the CEL light comes on when it realizes it is already warm and the rpms stabilize.
-As mentioned above the Check Engine Light is on.....read above.
-There are no airbags - driver side has quick release racing wheel (no airbag) and passenger side has airbag delete.
-Only "problem" I have had with the car since I owned it is that 2 outlets on the engine have rubber endcaps that keep the coolant inside the block. One of the rubber pieces cracked which made it start to spray a little coolant. I went to Lowe's and got a rubber endcap, took the 15 seconds to take the old one off and put the new one on, never had problem again. I replace them once a month so that I don't have to worry about it.
-There is no alarm system - take the steering wheel off when you leave the car...makes it harder to steal.
-The car does not have power windows.
-There are no windshield wipers or sprayers as those were shaved too.
-Exhaust has rasp from about 3.5k-4.5k rpms...believe this is due to heat shield on top of the JDM exhaust.
-Please remember this is not a Lexus with plushy seats and a soft ride. This car is made for shows but can be daily driven easily (I did for about 3 months). I keep getting people saying it doesn't have this or that...maybe this car isn't for you then.
This car is beautiful. It gets a lot of props at car shows and people crowd around the engine bay and are in awe of how clean it is. I know the next owner will enjoy it as much as I have. I am selling it as I am getting an apartment and need the cash so that I can pay my rent. I am hoping to start a new car project too (Subaru 2.5RS).
