engine managment light on due too O2 sensor
Hi guys just joined to gleen info.
My wife's o3 plate civic type s is becoming a bane in my life and my son's, we have replaced both sensors before and aft of the cat,reset the ecu and 2/3 hrs later it comes back on!!!***%$£"!.
so i took it too honda they tested it only to be told the sensor 1 was faulty, bare in mind this is brand new.
There reply was not a honda part!!!!! Hmmm???, but we can do it for £262.00 all in
so i Aproached my son who is a mobile mech head told him that his supplier has sold us a duff one he in due coarse contacts them to be told" sorry we have shut down for good no refund"
so i contact euro carparts they get me the same one honda use at 126.00 all in deep joy you would think!!!. we fit it then clear the code happy days.
NOPE within 24hrs bloody light is back on again wtf wtf is going through my head right now no idea really dont want to go too Honda at that price,so anyone shed any light on what can be done to clear the dam thing for good.

Have you tried looking for a used oem sensor at the junk yard? I'm not sure what they go for but you'll probably save some serious coin.
Years ago my old boss who's an electrical engineer mentioned having difficulty with after market sensors. He replace a coolant temp switch, or the one that turned on the fans, 3 times before realizing the new sensors were out of spec. He had bought them all at different auto parts stores. Knowing that was the problem he put in an oem and it fixed the issue.
