transmission troubles on my new setup :(
have a '94 civic with a built for boost sohc zc non v-tec sitting on 10 lbs. Trying to get all the kinks worked out before I up the boost.
Problem is when ever I launch, I can't get it into 2nd without letting the rpms drop considerably, usually when I fall out of the boost revs. Have energy suspension motor mount inserts and prothane's shift bushing kit as well as a short shifter. The tranny is in tip top shape and never had a problem with it in the last turbo setup and same with the short shifter.
Thinking is might either lie in the motor mount inserts or the shift linkage bushing kit. All other gears shift flawlessly, just 1st to 2nd is kickin my ****. It's like it'll hit a wall and even forcing it will just grind but still won't go in. Open to sugestions. Tranny fluid is half lucas half 10w30.
Posted in the eg thread but never got a reply and searched but most are come up as automatic or synchro related, and I don't think it's synchro's since the tranny was working perfectly on the car's last boosted setup. Curious to see if anyone has had a problem with bushing kits/ inserts like this.
Have a new 6 puck un sprung clutch, new slave, system bled thoroughly.
Thanks in advanced.

Get rid of the insert on the rear mount, use OEM bushings for the shifter, if using a short shifter, go back to stock. Short shifters are worthless as you can beat the synchros with a stock shifter. If it still does it after that (and other mounts are good), time to pull the trans.
