A little help? : Starter spins freely
I just installed a competition clutch stage 2 clutch/flywheel combo, and got it all back together. I turn the key, and it sounds like the starter spins freely. I just get a loud windy sound like a motor under no load. The starter is installed correctly, and flush with the bellhousing. Any ideas? is it possible to install a starter on Hondas and not have the starter engaged to the flywheel? Its just strange...

Is it possible to install the flywheel backwards? I dont know if it will even go in backwards, but you may have to check that, unless someone has a better suggestion.

check the teeth ring on the flywheel to see if it's loose. The flywheel maybe a 2 piece flywheel where pressured screws are holding them together...

maybe your starter solenoid isn't engaging in? pull your starter out and use a pair of jumpers to make it turn over and check if its popping out.
