I have a j32 vtec swapped 93 eg hatch cx. 6 speed transmission. Tucked bay. I but I'm having an issue. I am unable to go into reverse. It has a shift kit for the transmission so it can be used in an eg hatch. When I go to put it in reverse is acts like it properly goes into gear correctly. But I start giving it gas the shifter feels like it is being pushed forward (out of gear) and it starts grinding. The car did not do this when I bought it. (I bought is already swapped) What I'm wondering is if the linkages aren't actually engaging the gear fully. Or if my synchronizers shot. This is my first j series swapped vehicle. Any input would be much appreciated. Like I said I'm a noob when it comes to j series swaps. Any help??

Other then that issue is run and drives fine. Pulls hard. No other issues with any of the other gears. And it just started doing this. I just bought this car a couple days ago.

I recently cleaned the reverse lock out silinoid and reset the spring and ball nut on the front of the tranny. Still not able to get reverse to engage.
