Icon3 tranmisson fluid help!

OKay so i went to change my axle one day and removed it and when i went to install the new one i noticed the new was different. THe axle was a special order and took a week to get here. So the car stood on jacks for about 2 week with the axle opening in the transmission wide open. Then it snowed and weather was super cold. One day i decided to look down there and the tranny fluid had leaked and was frozen at the opening. SO now im wondering if there is water in my tranny since it could have froze and now melted which would cause the fluid to be mixed with the transmission fluid. Is it even possible for the fluid to freeze and what is the chance of water getting in from the axle opening?
thanks,

already installed axle....but i dont really want to spend 100 dollars changing the fluid since i just got it changed about a month ago at the dealership. (Its a automatic)... Ive decided to do this, the temp outside is up and not freezing anymore. If tranny fluid is mixed with water, the water will go to the bottom and fluid to the top. So since the cars been sittin there, i opened the drain bolt a bit to remove any water from the bottom. Now ill just top it off by adding some more transmission fluid.

$13.50 worth of fluid, dunno why you'd pay $100 for three quarts of fluid.
