Default Integra 98 auto tranny into a 00 question

Hi I have a 00 Acura Integra LS auto, the tranny recently started grinding so I acquired a 98 tranny for a replacement. Upon ripping it apart, I noticed that there's two more sensors that aren't on the 98, that are next to the shift solenoid. The 98 only has the shift solenoid and anti-lock solenoid, so my question is what are those two other sensors for? Can I just leave them out since the 98 doesn't have them and cut and splice the shift solenoid to work? Would I need an ECU for a 98 integra? Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you.

You can't use the tranny you have, you'll need to get one from a 2000 - 2001.

Yeah I was afraid of that, even obd2 to obd1 adapters wouldn't work because they just work differently and all my wiring is for obd2? I know this is probably a stupid question so I apologize, but thanks for the response.

This is what I'm talking about http://www.ebay.com/itm/OBD2B-to-OBD...-/201046633885 I'm sure there's additional things I'm not thinking of that I would also have to do and I realize it may just be more work than it's worth.

Those adapters are generally for manual transmissions only. Rywire can make up automatic versions but they're expensive, to the point where it would be cheaper to just get the right transmission.

Ah I did notice that most were for manuals, that one didn't specify but I'm sure you're right, I was already looking for local junkyards that sell a 00 with at least a 30-day return guarantee. Kind of hard to come by and they're expensive that's why I didn't get one to start with, oh well learned a $125 lesson, will probably just rip it apart for fun since nobody wants an integra automatic transmission anyways. Appreciate the response.
