Default Clutch loose??

Ok so im looking to trade my 02 s10 with 70,000 kms for a 03 civic with 211,000 kms. Might be a bad decision but considering everything its a good deal. So i took the civic for a spin and noticed that the clutch is really loose. I dont know what to call it but you have to almost release the cluch all the way before it catches. I dont know if thats normal or what. Im guessing not. But is there a way to tighten the clutch up?

Normal.

Should have 1-2" or travel from the top and the clutch starts to disengage.

VERY different from most trucks...
