new discoveries..

my d16z6 block has all 3 TAPPED holes for the shaft.

the bolt pattern on a 94-01 teg intermediate shaft is is the exact same bolt pattern of the holes on my block.

BUT, if i used the 94-01 shaft all 3 holes on my block will be a 1/2" away from lining up with the holes on the shaft.

the CG intermediate shaft is the same length as the 94-01 but the mounting holes are a little closer to the tranny. so i guess ill need to use the CG shaft.. only one of its holes line up with the holes on my block and i think i could get away with drilling 2 new holes in the shaft mount to go into the holes on my block.

i measured everything tonight....blocks, trannies, axles, axle placement in the bay with the engine/tranny, etc and the integra driver side axle is only a 1/4" difference than my d-series axle so it will work. the pass side is just a little bit more different but we will just have to see once the tranny is bolted to teh engine in my car. im going to order the 90-93 integra axles from fidanza. ill make it all work.

also just ordered the howe pull type slave cylinder.. im staying hydro.. thanks transzex.

http://store.summitracing.com/...w=sku

and also went ahead and cut a tranny mount so it sits flush since the way ill be doing the mounts ill need it to sit flush to a plate of steel to weld. it will have the prothane inserts that i currently use but i also use a VERY hard aftermarket rear mount and front torque mounts.

the cg shaft is on the bottom and 94-01 shaft is on top in this pic.

anyone have pics of a ZC intermediate shaft?

found a pic of a 99-00 b16 intermediate shaft and it has a female end and the bolt pattern looks just like the 94-01 which lines right up on my block but is about a 1/2"off from the holes..

the holes in this b16 one looks like its about 1/2" closer to the tranny like i need.. what do you guys think??

nevermind..... the b16 shaft is just longer and the mounting point is the same as the b18's.

cable to hydro conversion with no cables haha.

howe pull type slave cylinder about $50 shipped from summit.

im going to go get a shorter rod for the mount to shorten it up some and then weld a mount for this slave onto the transmission mount ill be making.

the cg trans install should be moving right along now.. i was racing a supra last night and blew 4th gear. i knew it was going to happen. i called it and even let a friend ride along because i know they only break with a passenger haha. i dont care because this trans is going to start going in and then ill play a little more carefully.

im just waiting on a few last things to show up:

obx lsd
zc intermediate shaft
axles
clutch disc

well i couldnt find any 5/16-24 threaded rods or bolts long enough to replace this one on the slave to make it shorter so i just got a 5/16-24 die and threaded the rest of the rod and cut it down.

much shorter. dont know why they made it so long..

ordered my fidanza axles and got this email from racingworks.com

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Hello Mike,

Fidanza’s next production run for axles is a couple weeks away still. We can place these axles on order for you and they will ship in a couple weeks.

If you need them sooner, we can have them ship directly through Drive Shaft Shop (the manufacturer for Fidanza Axles) But they will not be boxed with Fidanza Paperwork.

From the set up, it looks like you are ordering these for an ZC engine swap?

Fidanza Left Axle 90-93 Integra MT

Fidanza Right Axle 86-89 Integra MT

We also build Gator Racing Axles here, if you need something suited for Competition. They run 235 for Stage 1 (Street) or 359 for Stage 2 (Competition). These are actually built for your car, depending on use/ ride height / engine / horsepower rating, so they take about 2 days to complete before shipping.

Please confirm.

Racing Works
http://www.racingworks.com

</TD></TR></TABLE>

i emailed him back and told him everything that is going on and what im doing to see what he thinks axle wise. ill have to wait on the fidanzas which ive been running for the past year and a half with tons of abuse and no problems..so i dont think ill go with the gator stage 1's. what do you think? the fidanzas are just $215 each.

oh and i always thought driveshaft shop made the fidanzas but now it is confirmed. kinda wierd becuse driveshaft shops oem replacement axles cost as much as the fidanzas and the fidanzas are much stronger than oem.
