Default Cable b16 y1 lsd fit in a cable ls trans?

just curious if a cable y1 b16 lsd will fit in a cable ls trans.. thanks

i dont think so. if youve ever seen the jdm lsd with the exception of the type r diff, the ring gear is part of the diff. y1 lsd is 4.2 while a cable ls trans is 4.4

The longer 4.27 ratio may not work well with LS shaft gearing but you can install the Y1 LSD in a 1990 "S1" or 1991 "A1" LS transmission as long as you change the matching countershaft as well. Since the ring gear is built into the LSD you have to use the countershaft and ring gear as a set with this type of LSD.
