Cable B-Series transmission bearing
Well, I was trying to test fit my cases together after rebuilding my cable B16 trans, and the top mainshaft bearing got stuck in the upper case half. As I tried to get it out, it busted open, sending ball bearings everywhere....
Im having trouble finding this bearing alone, and for a decent price. The part number is 91004-PS1-003. Measurements are: 70mm OD, 22mm ID, 18mm thick. Most places have it listed as discontinued, but the the places that dont have it listed at around $60... Found it on ebay too, same price...
Does anyone know where I could get this bearing for cheaper? Or does anyone have a good used one lying around? Im pretty sure its the same bearing as the LS cable transmissions.
Thanks!

Why not reassemble the bearing after cleaning, then check mainshaft shimming?
Check with Dave or James at Synchrotech, forum sponsors here for a reason.
Next time use a space heater and the bearing will drop out with ease.

Re: Cable B-Series transmission bearing
Ive been trying to reassemble but can't get it back together... any tips?
Already talking with synchrotech
And it was a bit of surface corrosion that got it stuck. Just took some 400 grit to the bearing bore and its all clean now, and three outer race slides in beautifully.

I don't know, I can't see any way to get it back together... how do you hold all the ***** and the cage? Do you insert it at a certain angle? I just don't see it.

Right, races like that are pretty straight forward. Hell, they hold the damn ***** for you lol. No matter how much grease I use, or magnets, or tape, etc I use, I cant get the ***** to stay around the inner race... Maybe ill try hot glue, then melt it out after...
But thanks for the pics, it at least lets me know the theory.
