B7WA/M7WA auto trans: have a look.
I've seen tear and rebuild of manuel transmissions, just thought I would do one for the automatics. But, this is not a guide, just a look see. Hope you like. This is a 2000 Acura 3.2TL, 5 speed automatic. Just pics of the car with the trans out.

Just remember, I'm not ASE certified, lol but I do my best. Here the trans out, the sticker at the starter has the code, but this one is worn off.

Here is the 3rd clutches chewed up. I've seen this many times, seems to be a common problem. You can see in the 2nd pick the spring flared out on the top of the piston. The 3rd pic you can see the damaged spring.

Top pic showing the selecter arm. If you ever hear a grinding noise shifting between park, reverse or drive, this is what's making the noise. The rest I'm just showing the oil feed tubes.

Top pic just the case half back on. Next pic shows the park gear, hammer and spring, and the arm. Next is the transfer gears and 3rd clutch drum. The last is the 3rd clutch drum with new spring, retainer, lockring and clutches in it.

Top pic is the back cover on, next is the transmission temp sensor, next is the 3rd clutch pressure switch, and last is the manuel lever position sensor or digital range sensor, they have many different names. Anyway, it tells the computer what gear you have selected.

Top pic is the linear solenoid for the torque converter clutch, basically it control lockup feel, harsh or shoft. Next pic is of the clutch pressure control solenoids. These control shift feel, harsh or shoft. Next pic is the inline filter, it can be changed, but not easy to do in the car.

Hear is the cooler for the trans, mounted right on top, I think this was a good improvement. Next is the lockup solenoid, on the right with the black connecter, the left one with the brown connecter is shift solenoid C. Next is shift solenoids A and B. And last is the trans ready to be installed back into the car. Hope you found this interesting.

Nice work...Honda autos can be a PITA sometimes, but it is fun popping the clutch packs apart!
Question- did you use RTV Blue to seal the case back up? Why not Honda gaskets? Not a good idea to use sealant on the auto cases, as they may get in atf passages.

I used gaskets, I just used the blue trans gel to hold them in place, that's all. If you look over the bell housing on my bench you can see the little tub of blue trans gel.

Not really, the only thing you can really do is turn the CPC solenoid pressures up a little for firmer shifts. But, not alot because of shift timeing.

I’m just getting everything back together for this transmission but i’ve got one small leftover feed tube. Seems like all possible spots are already taken! any advice??
