2000 Civic LX

I recently purchased a used civic. I did all the major maintenances on this car to get it well functioning without any issues. Timing belt, steering wheel fluid flush, radiator fluid flush, O2 sensors, new air filter, motor oil, ATF flush, etc.

I've noticed today that my ATF is down from 3 qt to 2 qt? I just want to know if this is normal for a 14 year old car? I am currently using Amsoil for my car. Its been 2 months since I flushed the ATF.

Is this normal at all? Or there really is a leak?

It shouldn't go down at all, but how are you checking it? The car needs to be warmed up, then shut off and the fluid checked within one minute.

How do you know the exact amount? Did you drain it. Honda ATF must be checked while warm, with the engine OFF, on LEVEL ground. Not doing one of these will error the measurement.

If you fluid level has in fact, decreased, you have a leak, or the transmission was never properly filled during service.

Maybe its that... I drove for about 3 mins and checked it. Maybe it was still cold? Ill got ahead and check again today after driving for at least 20 mins or so.
