1999 Acura Tl 99-2003
I have a 99 acura tl 3.2 vtec none type S and the transmission needs to be replaced. I am alittle confused because mine is a 4 speed and the 2000-2003 come 5 speed. Wondering if a 99 acura tl 3.2 vtec tranny type S will work on my none type S and will it function. Also found a 2001 acura tl 3.2 vtec none type S wondering if that one will work? Please need the help ..

Synchro-tech can tell you for sure but I doubt it, it'll probably bolt up just fine but I wouldn't be at all suprised if the gear ratios are different (if they are you will have shifting issues and the PCM will throw transmission codes) 5 speed TL trannys definitely wont work.
Btw, if I were you I'd look into a rebuild, those transmissions were known to be junk, expect a used one to fail sooner or later as well.
