1998 Honda Civic Lx EJ6 Auto Tranny Problems

1998 Honda Civic Lx EJ6 Auto Tranny Problems
So last night my lower ball joint broke and my car crashed to the ground had to get a tow home. Well when it happened I put my car into park and it just sat there and grinded. I just thought it was the parking plaw. When I got her home checked out underneath and snapped a drive axle so I replaced the ball joint and drive axle and now went to drive it and the transmission grinds when put I to park and won't go into drive or reverse. When I have it in either the speedometer works. Even when in park I can still push the car around like it in neutral. Any causes to this please help.
